IT’S RELEASE DAY FOR MYTHOLOGY: THE WICKED!

MYTHOLOGY: THE WICKED (Mythology #2)

Book Description

A demon with a pure heart, Micah Condie lives his life by a code of ethics, but breaking that code may be the only way for him to survive. A supernatural entity in her own right, Hope Gentry would do anything in her power to protect her loved ones, but she may be the one who puts them in peril.

When the Demon Impiorum challenges the laws that keep guardians and demons in balance, ancient enforcers of justice intervene. Micah, Hope, and their mentor Jonathan become entangled in a conspiracy that will test even the deepest love and trust.

Someone will commit an act of betrayal. Someone will forever abandon a loved one.

Someone will enter THE WICKED.

Excerpt:

My internal temperature skyrockets, and my hands curl into fists.
“Let her go.”
Avery looks over at me, his expression twisting into a scowl as I stalk toward them.
“Then tell your bitch to keep out of my business,” Avery spits.
I charge.
He lets go of Hope and takes a swing at me, but I reach up and grab his fist. His hand hits mine with a smack, and I clamp my fingers down. I stare into his eyes as they widen in fear, and I feel the darkness condense around my heart, feel the logical part of me die and switch over to pure instinct.
“Micah, what are you doing?” Hope whispers.
Avery hears her, and a leer spreads across his face as he drags up some more confidence.
“You two are perfect for each other, you know that?” He directs his sneer at me. “Let go of my hand, freak.”
An electric charge screams through my nerves without warning, and my muscles contract in response. I hear and feel Avery’s bones crunching in my grip, and he drops to the floor on one knee.
The electricity suddenly dissipates, and I pull back from Avery. He yanks his arm to his chest.
“You broke my hand!” he howls.

I stare down at mine, flexing my fingers. I hadn’t intended to break anything.

I'm super excited to be a part of this blog tour for Melting Away the Ice (The Ice Series #1) by Mary Smith! This is an awesome book, and I would love for you to check out my review below! =)

Title: Melting Away the Ice (The Ice Series #1)
Author: Mary Smith
Genre: Adult, Sports/Romance
Release Date: September 10th, 2013

Synopsis:

Sara Smith, a hard working lawyer, thought she found her true love. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Now she goes home at night and avoids people. Until one day her best friend forces her to go to a hockey game.
Lucas Sharp, the Captain of the Chicago Eagles, has focused on one thing, winning the Cup. It was not until a meet and greet after the game that he saw Sara.
After finally going on a few dates Lucas knows that she is hiding something, but Sara won't talk about it.
Will Lucas be able to melt away the ice on her heart and still win the Cup? Or will Sara keep her true-self frozen away from finding happiness.

My Review:

I had the privilege of reading Melting Away the Ice before it was released, and I instantly fell in love with the characters from chapter one, I couldn't wait for the public to get their hands on it. Sara is struggling with opening up her heart to love because of a horrible, horrible past that had me in tears once it was revealed. But once Lucas enters the picture, I immediately rooted for him to melt that ice away that had formed around Sara's heart from her gut-wrenching history. I loved how attentive Lucas was to the effects Sara was left with from the trauma she went through. Lucas picked up on those things, and he never pushed her to do anything she wasn't comfortable with. He was so sweet, but at the same time SO SEXY! The end got suspenseful and I seriously couldn't put the book down until the I found out what happened. I laughed so hard any time Rachel opened her mouth, and I was cheering right along with the group by the end. It finished beautifully, and I just felt so happy. I loved this book. I recommend it to any adult reader.

Book Blurb:

Levi Carr is captain of the Roxboro University Lions hockey team. His rival is James Wayne University and their captain, Trevor McCarthy. After an incident in high school and his mother's death, Levi does whatever he can to make McCarthy's life a little harder. When leaving the rivaling campus one night, Levi meets one person who can unknowingly help him mess with McCarthy.

My one job in this is to mess with McCarthy's head and all it has done is mess with mine.

Presley McCarthy lives in the shadow of her twin brother, Trevor. After being separated when their parents divorced, all Presley heard about was Levi Carr being a bully to Trevor. Now in college, Presley is trying to be her own person, but when she meets Levi Carr, it all changes. But will the changes be good or bad?

He is nothing like my brother described. Maybe I've been wrong all along.

*This book is intended for mature audiences.*

Happy weekend! I have several things to share with everyone. I want to first start off by saying THANK YOU so very much to everyone who has downloaded and shared Sweet Oblivion! It made Amazon Best Sellers list while at 99¢ a few months ago, which of course I was happy about, and then once it went free it continued to do well! The highest rank while free was #243 overall, #1 in Science Fiction, #8 in Fantasy, and #8 in Paranormal. I couldn't be more thrilled with these numbers!! So thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will be keeping Sweet Oblivion free for a very long time, maybe even forever! =) I had been trying to get it free on Amazon for seven months, and then once Sweet Escape went live, it finally happened. Yay!

Next, a big thing I wanted to announce is that my sister is unable to continue writing with me, which I believe started back in March. At that point, Sweet Escape was less than half-way done, but as you all know, I was able to finish it. Don't worry, I also did the same thing with Sweet Oblivion when my sister was unable to help with the writing, and we were around less than half-way through then too as well. What I am saying is, if you are worried about the series, don't be! I have no problems writing on my own, and have proven that with finishing Sweet Oblivion and Sweet Escape by myself. If you didn't notice while reading Sweet Oblivion/Sweet Escape, then you shouldn't notice while reading the rest of the series. Naminé came from my head, and although my sister gave her a voice in Sweet Oblivion, I know her and how she should be, which again I think I have proven that in Sweet Escape.

I will be finishing the series on my own, but I want you all to know that you have nothing to worry about. The series will not suffer in the slightest, and I truly believe will come out even better than I had originally anticipated. I put everything I have into Sweet Oblivion and Sweet Escape, and that will never change. I will continue to give all I have into this series and the upcoming books. So please stick with me, and I promise not to let you down. There will be four in total, with the prospect of a novella or two. ;)

Okay...next. The third book of the series is called Sweet Requiem, and my GOAL is to have it released in October - possibly October 24th for Nari's birthday! ;) However, we will see how much I am able to get done by middle of next month. If I feel October is too early, I might push to end of November. So, I will NOT be making an official release date yet, but I wanted to at least give you an idea of what I am trying to do. Then, I am hoping to have the 4th (and final) book out in February (or March) of 2014. I do have the name for this book, but I am holding off on releasing that name until after Sweet Requiem is out. ;) *giggle*

Moving on. Have you heard of Indie Girl Con? It is a new book convention that started earlier this year, and already I feel it is becoming big. I will have an author/signing table there, so I wanted to ask each and every one of you to PLEASE come and see me! I would love to sign your paperbacks, and I will be having VERY special things there, such as maps of East Luïnil, and T-shirts! The dates of the convention are February 21st & 22nd, 2014 AND they will be having an award show!! What makes that exciting is Sweet Oblivion and Sweet Escape will be NOMINATED books! I would absolutely love it if you voted for them once the time comes, and even better if you were there to celebrate with all of us! Here is their website to get more info: http://indiegirlcon.com/

Can't make Indie Girl Con? Well, even if you can, there is a MUST GO TO convention called UtopYA Con that I will also be attending. I went for the first time this past June, and wow. I absolutely loved it, and am counting the days until I get to go again next year. Even Jennifer Armentrout was there, and she was HILARIOUS!! The dates for next year are: June 20th - 22nd, 2014. PLEASE, PLEASE come to this. You will get to meet so many amazing authors, and even get signed paperbacks for really cheap!! It is so much fun, TRUST ME, you just HAVE to come. You can even stay in the hotel that all your favorite authors will be staying at, and then get to hang out with them each night! Here is the website to check it out: http://utopyacon.com/

Okay, what else, what else...Hmmm, I can't remember, so that MIGHT be it. ;) For now. Stay tuned at www.facebook.com/TheSweetSeries for instant updates! Going forward, I am going to do my very best to make more blog posts, but for quick little things I will always post them on that FB page.

Thank you to everyone for all the support!! <3 and hugs!
